New Spider-Man Costume Revealed? (UPDATED)

So it turns out these pictures from the “Russo_Brothers” Twitter account might possibly be the real thing after all. When asked by fans online, director James Gunn took to Twitter to declare that the Russos aren’t on Twitter or social media in general, deeming the pictures fakes. However, his tweets have seemingly disappeared from his page, which you can peruse here.

Adding more fuel to the fire is that actor Tom Holland, Spider-Man himself, was noticed to be following the account. If the posts are indeed fakes, why would he follow this account? We won’t know for certain until someone from Marvel officially confirms or denies this account and its posted photos.

In the meantime, you can find the original story below.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead.

Earlier today, we saw what might be the first ever look at the new Spider-Man costume, courtesy of a Twitter account titled “Russo_Brothers“. Although the account has been posting since earlier in June, the recently discovered June 10th post (posted below) has sent the Internet into a frenzy of rumors.

Supposedly, these heavily zoomed in and/or grainy photos show off not only parts of the new Spider-Man costume, but also give us a tease on the upcoming film Captain America: Civil War (which the new webslinger is, coincidentally, supposed to debut in).

“The Ia A”? Could that possibly spell out “The Sokovia Accords”? Makes sense for the government to want to rally behind a major crisis that superheroes essentially caused in the first place, not to mention how snugly that title would fit with the post credits scene from Ant-Man.

What do you guys think? Is this the real deal, or are we looking at a hoax? Let me know what you think in the comments below, or maybe tell me through that Twitter widget on the left.
