In case you hadn’t seen it earlier, Ryan Reynolds released a promo for the upcoming issue of Empire magazine on his YouTube channel, and it’s awesome. Check it out below:

I know I mentioned this on Twitter before, but I have to say it again: the marketing for this film is fantastic. Even better, Entertainment Weekly released a new story on the Deadpool film on their website today, complete with new photos and a first look at one of the fight scenes in the film (between Deadpool and the film’s villain, Ajax).

Ajax’s actor, Ed Skrein, stated in EW’s piece, “…I just want to take his head off,” in regards to his fight with Reynolds.

Ryan’s like Muhammad Ali, dancing around, whispering in my ear…And I’m George Foreman. Every blow is like a haymaker and I just want to take his head off.

If nothing else has confirmed it for you thus far, expect to see Deadpool cracking a lot of jokes during his fight.

Reynolds, meanwhile, who has been one of the film’s biggest supporters thus far, said the following about his fight with Skrein:

Ed got yoked for the movie…I saw his arms and got pretty upset at myself for not working out harder.
