While we’ve seen Magneto perform some pretty decent looking feats with his mastery over magnetism, it seems like X-Men: Apocalypse will be the first film where the character really gets the chance to cut loose. On the subject of the character’s strength, director Bryan Singer stated:

Magneto is demonstrating a small taste of what he can do now. Magneto is already enormously powerful…Now Apocalypse gives him powers far beyond what we’ve seen before.

Let’s hope the X-Men can take him, and Apocalypse, down before too much damage is caused.

X-Men: Apocalypse will arrive in theaters on May 27, 2016. In the meantime, keep checking back here at Comic Books vs The World for any new information (and don’t forget to grab a copy of today’s Entertainment Weekly!)
