I’m guessing by now most of you out there have gotten around to watching the newest Suicide Squad trailer, if you hadn’t done so already. That, of course, means it’s time to break down the hard shell of DC’s newest trailer to get to all the candy coated goodness inside.

Do we really have to do this one?

Yeah, is this even necessary?

Of course it is! We’re looking at a whole bunch of stuff.

This is just an excuse for you to watch the trailer again, isn’t it?

Roll the footage!

Looks awesome, no matter how many times you see it.

Unless you hate Killer Croc’s look apparently!

Anyways, there’s a number of really cool moments from the trailer absolutely everyone needs to be aware of. Such as:

1. Time for Surgery…

Nobody was entirely sure how Amanda Waller was going to keep her new team in line during the movie.

I know I wasn’t!

It definitely kept fans curious and eagerly guessing for some time now.

Well thanks to the newest trailer, we may finally have our answer: neck bombs.

Neck bombs?

Remember Assault on Arkham? Exactly like that. Why else would they just have everyone in a group out in the open like that?

2. The Birth of Harley Quinn

It was really interesting to see this one play out.

Besides how awesome that jump looked?

And how much better the music makes it seem?

All of that and more! With Batman’s cameo in the movie, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was all part of an extended flashback for her or the Joker, thinking about how they first met.

And how she was tortured and later transformed from Harleen Quinzel into Harley Quinn.

3. Possibly the Main Villain

Screen Shot 2016-01-20 at 7.13.25 PM

It’s been speculated by some that Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) will be the main villain in this movie.

Thanks to a combo of magic and dead brothers, the Suicide Squad will have to fight through her minions (the lumpy guys in the trailer) to take her down

Just because she’s not hanging out with the Squad in most of the trailer-

-and because she’s acting weird in the White House, and out of costume in a couple of shots-

-doesn’t make her the bad guy!

Or does it?!

4. Alex Ross Joker

This one’s more of a bonus thing, but since Alex Ross is my favorite comic artist of all time (sorry not sorry Rob), it’s always fun seeing a potential homage to his work.

He’s my favorite too!

5. Open Hostilities

A movie about mutated reptile people, soul taking swords, and Will Smith, and you didn’t expect a few fights to break out now and again?

Who said they weren’t expecting that?

Me!

At least with the top picture, we can tell there might be a few problems for everyone playing hero. Croc certainly seems ready to eat Katana up there, while Will Smith decides to Smithify his situation with Rick Flag in the one below.

Suicide Squad will arrive in theaters August 5, 2016.
