Today’s really not a good day for DC or Warner Bros.

First, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Seth Grahame-Smith, set to direct DC’s 2018 film The Flash, has recently left the project, citing “creative differences” with the studio. Although Grahame-Smith has left the project, the script he based off a treatment from The Lego Movie writers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller is still to  be used for the film, according to THR.

Now, according to sources for, Aquaman director James Wan is considering leaving the upcoming DC film due to feeling “a tremendous amount of trepidation” for the upcoming project. However, it is important to remember that this information has not been verified by DC, Warner Bros, or their affiliates, and that only time will tell if Wan decides to stay and see Aquaman through to completion.

The Flash will arrive in theaters on March 16, 2018, while Aquaman will arrive in theaters sometime in 2018.

What do you think about these directors leaving/possibly leaving DC’s films? Let me know in the comments below, or with a tweet through that widget on the left.
