The Hollywood Reporter brought word yesterday that ABC’s Captain America spin off, Agent Carter, has officially been cancelled. With a steadily dropping number of viewers, as well as ABC originally attempting to focus on their Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin off Marvel’s Most Wanted, it seems as if there just wasn’t enough space for Agent Carter. Fret not though  Hayley Atwell fans, since, according to Entertainment Weekly, the actress will star in another ABC series, Conviction.

Additionally, THR notes that ABC has since passed on Marvel’s Most Wanted, which would have centered around S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird and Lance Hunter. It’s currently unknown if the show will be shopped around to other networks, if Marvel will attempt to keep the project alive on Netflix, or will simply drop it altogether.
