After Warner Bros. suffered losing The Flash director Seth Grahame-Smith, it seems as if the property is finally back on track. Deadline reports that the studio has selected indie director Rick Famuyiwa (The Wood, Brown Sugar, Our Family Wedding) to helm the scarlet speedster’s solo outing.

According to Deadline:

the feeling internally was that Famuyiwa provided a vision that would resonate with young viewers and that vision was very compatible with the script that the studio is moving toward the starting gate with.

The Flash will arrive in theaters on March 16, 2018.
