Donald Glover, aka rapper Childish Gambino, is currently in talks to join the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming, according to The Hollywood Reporter. If cast, he will join Michael Keaton as a villain, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier, and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man.

Many fans have already begun responding to the news enthusiastically, expressing support to the idea that Glover will be cast as the Spider-Man of the Ultimate Marvel Universe, Miles Morales (a character partially inspired by his campaign to play Spider-Man in 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man, and one he was able to voice in Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon series), however, details on Glover’s potential role are currently under wraps.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will arrive in theaters on July 7, 2017
