At Sony’s PlayStation E3 press conference earlier tonight, a brand new Batman: Arkham game from fan favorite studio Rocksteady was revealed! The project, to be titled Batman: Arkham VR, will be a full virtual reality video game, to be released later this year. Check out the full teaser trailer via the video below!

In a press statement, game director Sefton Hill announced the following:

Rocksteady is always looking for new ways to further engross players into the worlds we create and Batman: Arkham VR is an example of how we’re taking advantage of the latest technology to do that. The team is committed to delivering a Batman experience that stays true to the character and allows players to fully immerse themselves in the role of the World’s Greatest Detective.

While little information is currently known about the game, we do know that Mark Hamill’s Joker will be returning , as confirmed by the teaser trailer above.

Batman: Arkham VR will be released in October this year.
