Ryan Reynolds Won’t Cameo as Deadpool in ‘Logan’ (UPDATED)

Posted: December 28, 2016 in Comic Book News

UPDATE: Since this story was first reported, both Ryan Reynolds and director James Mangold have revealed on Twitter that the rumor is indeed false. You can read their tweets below.

The original story is as follows.

It’s been reported earlier today by TheWrap that Deadpool may appear in a cameo role in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming superhero film, Logan.

According to their (unnamed) inside source, actor Ryan Reynolds recently shot a scene as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, and that the scene will most likely be added to the finished film as a fun post-credit scene. TheWrap also claims that Deadpool 2 director David Leitch was involved in the shoot, acting as director for the scene.

Logan will arrive in theaters on March 3, 2017.
